So about 2 months ago I broke down and bought a Chi flat iron. I hear they are the best and do the least damage to your hair. Well, I am here to tell you that they fried mine and my girls hair. I have just been sick about it. I thought at first maybe it was because of the Biolage Thermal Active Spray we were using so I switched to the Chi Iron Guard, but that wasn't it. The day I got it, I was so excited and tried it on my hair. Instantly I smelled burnt hair and watched my hair fall out and synge. I was just SICK! After I cut my hair, VERY short and spiky, 1 1/2 inches off of Kaymin's hair and 2" off of Kameni's, I went out and bought another flat iron that has a temperature control so instead of it heating at 450 degrees, I can turn it down to 300 degrees. It doesn't curl as well, but that could be because it is running about 150 degrees cooler. I went to the local beauty shop to ask which one they would recommend. My friend actually manages it and has thin, fine hair like me. She told me the one she uses and loves and hasn't fried her hair yet. So I guess we will wait and see if this one will be gentle on my girls hair. As for my hair, right now I don't even have any hair left to use it on.

Disappointing! Chi makes a very expensive product too!
I love hearing all your adventures...even the ones with tragic results like this. :)
