This last weekend up I went to Girls Camp with the Young Women. Camp went from Tuesday to Saturday. However, I only went up on Friday..yes, I am a slacker. On Tuesday, I went with Kaymin and the activity day girls to the Oquirrh Temple open house. It was a mom and daughter date and it was so fun. Blake was so great and took half a day off work so I could go with Kaymin. In fact, he even told me to take her out to eat afterwards...just the two of us. She chose Red Robin and it was so fun to sit and eat without having to clean stuff off of the floor, wipe faces/hands, sit kids down, telling them to be quiet, etc....you know the list could go on. I actually ate my food in less than an hour. I think that is a new record for me. It is amazing how fast you can eat when you get to actually sit down and eat without interruptions. I had so much fun being with just her.
Blake was also amazing and took Friday off of work so I could go up to girls camp. My original plan was to go up Friday and stay over until Saturday. But I just didn't want to stay the night and being a part of the food co-op and with pick up on Saturday morning, I was stressing out. We have some really great girls and my anti-young women feelings are slowly dissolving. See I had a horrible experience in Young Women's over 10 years ago when I was the Young Women President and I swore I would never be in it again. But a wonderful friend called me into Young Women's almost 1 1/2 ago as the Laurel advisor and all of the leaders and girls are wonderful. It really has been a blessing. However, it began raining about 6pm and it poured for about 2 hours. Everything was soaked and I decided to go home. I left around 11pm and I almost didn't want to. I am really appreciating the fact that I am in there.
