Easter Weekend

On Saturday, the day before Easter, we went to my mom's house for her Easter egg hunt. Like always the kids were spoiled and I still wonder why we still have the Easter bunny come to our house. The kids had so much fun, but since she still had 6 inches of snow, we had to do it inside. My mom usually hides eggs with money in them for the adults, but this year we were each timed for 30 seconds while we dug for coins in a container filled with beans, rice and coins. We had a great time!

The next morning the Easter bunny found our house. He spoiled the kids and I still need to take a picture of the kids in the Easter church outfits. But since it was general conference weekend, we didn't need to get dressed up. The kids found lots of eggs and got lots of candy. Gerrit insisted Blake open up all of his candy at once. He began shoving them in as fast as he could. He couldn't fit one more piece in. The kids also got bath paints. They wanted to all get in the tub together so they could try each other's out. So they all got into their swimming suits and had a very cramped, but fun time.
At 10:30am we went to Blake's mom's house for breakfast and her Easter egg hunt. It was more like brunch for us, but it was really yummy! I have taught the kids a bad habit. See I like to put my jammie pants on right after church while I relax, so all of the kids wanted to stay in their jammies. I can't blame them so I let them. They got spoiled again and had a ton of fun.

Easter sure was great this year and now we have a TON of candy in the house.
