Another Ear Infection

Every Mother's Day I want the same thing....Blake to do everything. That includes: fixing the meals, taking care of the kids, EVERYTHING! Anyway 11pm Saturday the kids were in bed and Kameni began crying. I went in there to find her screaming because her ear hurt...I wanted to scream. So needless to say I spent 3 hours in the doctor's office waiting area to find out that she officially has her 20th ear infection. The doctor told us that we shouldn't wait any longer to get her third set of tubes. I made an appointment today for June 3rd with her ENT. They put her on another antibiotic (which I specifically asked if the other one cleared it up, in which she replied yes, because only her right ear was infected). We walked in the door at 12:48pm and our church is at 1pm. I hoped in the shower before the doctor but I didn't do my hair or make-up because they wanted me to come right in. So basically we all looked like orphans, but by-crap I was not going to miss the Primary kids singing. See I used to hate Mother's Day. It was the hardest day of the year for me and I got to the point I didn't want to go to church. Once we were able to have kids, it has turned into my favorite day in the world. My favorite part is when the Primary kids sing to their moms. I have waited so long for my kids to sing to me and this year I was lucky because I have 3 in Primary. Every year I cry and every year I count down to the day when they get to sing to me again. However, Blake was wonderful. He made us breakfast, cleaned up, and even made the salad to take to my mom's. I love you guys!

I'm with you on the hating mother's day thing. I don't mind so much, it's just that I am the only one in my branch who doesn't have kids, so they always give me a flower and a pitiful look because it makes them feel good to force me to take a flower. I hate those flipping flowers! I let my cat eat them. I had my primary kids take a flower to their moms. I think mother's day is for actual moms, not a day to try to make non-moms take flowers.

I can't believe that poor kid as the 20th ear infection! My friend took her kid to the chiropractor for ear infections and it worked.

Happy Mother's day, but I'm sorry to hear about ear infections! My kids had chronic ear infections. I've tried a lot of different things. Most of them worked. We were able to avoid tubes. Call or email sometime and we can talk ear woes!shariscarter@hotmail.com
