I am SO behind. I feel like I just can't find time to do anything anymore and I finally plop into bed around midnight and get up at 6am to do it all over again. So now that I have a few minutes (I should be cleaning), I am going to hurry and do what I can. On May 27th, Kameni turned 5. I let my kids have a birthday party at 5, 8, and 12.

I couldn't talk her into inviting two friends and going somewhere, she wanted a party with all of her friends. She wanted a swim party, but we are not going to put up the pool this year because of Gerrit. He is a climber and I can see him climbing into the pool and the thought makes me sick. I would rather not have to worry about that for the next several months and take the kids swimming instead. Kameni decided to have a carnival party, but she had to have real, live goldfish. At the school's carnival this year they had a booth that if you threw a ping pong ball into a cup of water you got a goldfish. Kameni decided that is what she wanted to do and give each of her friends a goldfish.

She invited: Lily, Rylee, Olivia, Dylan, Preston, Daxton, Kaziah, Deilen, Coplin, and Maddie. Kaymin wanted to be there so I had the big kids (Kaymin, Richard, Madison, and Taylor) run the games for me. My mom came and helped and so did my dad. However, my dad wanted to work on my bathroom and I gladly let him. He worked so hard. Then Kameni wanted a bug cake with real bugs. I talked her into having fake bugs and she wasn't happy about that. The kids loved getting the goldfish. I bought 30 the day before since we had back to back things all day that day and I only needed 18. Twelve died by the time the party started so I had exactly the right amount of fish that I needed. Kameni wouldn't leave them alone and loved them so much. A couple of them she "accidentally" pulled their fins off because she was petting them.

Anyhow, the party was a success and I am so glad that it is over. A few of the booths we did besides the ball toss for the goldfish were: fishing pond, bean bag toss, and Kaymin did the face and eventually body painting. Kameni was spoiled and received so many wonderful presents.
