Okay, I know I am not the only one that is sick and tired of this winter. I just want the warm weather to come and the sickness to go away. We have been sick in this house.....FOREVER...so it seems. I have had a cold for a couple of weeks now. I ended up with the body ache flu on Sunday and by Monday I wasn't any better. On Tuesday I finally went to the doctor because I knew I had a sinus infection...yet again. I am feeling so much better and I feel like I will actually survive now. During this time Kaymin had the stomach flu and missed two days of school and Gerrit cried for 4 days straight and would only eat about half of what he normally eats. So when I went to the doctor, I made an appointment for him as well. His ears were clear, but his throat was really red and irritated. So he probably had what I had...poor guy. Then to top it all off I ventured out to Wal-mart to get some groceries and such and my kids were starving. So I went to the McDonald's inside and got them a cheeseburger and fries. As we were walking through the store they were giving out free nut samples. Deilen was begging for one and I kept telling him he didn't like nuts. He is 4...enough said. He popped one in his mouth and it got stuck. His gag reflexes are SUPER sensitive and he starts gagging. So I grabbed the McDonald's sack and put it under his mouth just in time. He begins throwing up and I was so glad that I had that bag, until the bottom gave out all over our cart and the aisle. I got the dirtiest looks from other moms that were wondering why in the world would I bring my sick child to the store. Luckily a worker was right there and I asked her what I needed to do to clean that up. She told me she would send someone over. After 30 minutes...yep, you read right, I decided to go to the bathroom to get paper towels myself. I was tired of sitting there with 3 kids in a pile of regurgitated cheeseburger and fries in the middle of the baking aisle. I came back and began cleaning it up. Finally she showed up with some heavy duty gloves and a mop. I had most of it cleaned up by this point so all she had to do was mop the floor. I could have crawled in a hole and died. I just can't wait until spring.
