Kaymin's 2nd Grade Valentine's Party

This year I am Kaymin's room mother. Today they had a Valentine's party and the whole 2nd grade does one together. The party is 2 hours long and consists of four 30 minute stations. I was in charge of the craft for all 82 2nd graders. I am tired of paper crafts so I decided to teach them how to make homemade slime. The kids LOVED it. It wasn't too messy until the last class. For some reason the slime didn't turn out and it was very runny, like the consistency of glue. Thank heavens one of my friends was there helping out with the party as well. We have no idea what happened and we tried to salvage it, but it wouldn't work. The kids had slime all over themselves, the floor, EVERYWHERE. I'm sure I will be receiving complaints from some of the moms. Kari and I hurried and made up a batch, after Mrs. Ostler found some more glue, so we could make them a batch a "good" slime. All in all, we had a good time. But of course, I was too caught up in the moment to take pictures while they were making slime.
