Okay, so I had to post this for my friends who are not currently in Utah. Also for my family to prove to them that we got dumped on yesterday. Earlier in the week we were enjoying mid 70's and still wearing shorts. A cold spell came in and found it's way here just a couple of days later. Yesterday morning we woke up to snow. Now by Friday of this week we are suppose to be back up to 70. Go figure!!! Now it is rare that we get more snow than my parents, but we sure did this time. And we never get snow this early. Heck, lately it seems like we are lucky if we have a white Christmas. I couldn't believe how much came down and how fast it accumulated. Before we left for church, Blake shook off the snow on our one tree out front that seemed to be holding a lot of it. He was getting worried so he left during church to check on it and the branches were touching the ground from the amount of snow that weighed it down. I should have taken a picture last night when it stopped because it already started to melt. But I just thought about it this morning so I guess it is better than nothing. My kids have thoroughly enjoyed this and have played for hours in the snow. For some reason they think it is Christmas and had to watch Charlie Brown's Christmas and sing Christmas songs last night. They were so wound up thinking of Santa, that it was hard to calm them down to get them into bed. I guess it is going to be a long 2 months until Christmas finally comes.

My kids enjoyed hrs of the snow yesterday and finished with coming in to some hot chocolate but i am glad it didn't bring out the christmas songs in them. Good thing your tree made it through the snow storm, alot of trees around here didn't.
Heidi, your children are so beautiful. Kaymin has grown up SO much, she is just lovely, and I can see so much of both you and Blake in her. Deilin and Kameni are so adorable, I loved the post about the "spit fire"! And, congrats on the addition of Gerrit! Blake sent me the link to your blog, it's wonderful. Take care. Maria (Blake's old buddy at PCMC)
I am so jealous!! I can't even tell you how bad my girls want to play in the snow. Looks like a lot of fun!!
AAhhh, Utah snow! I have to say that I am not jeolous. After last winter, I hope we don't get snow till Jan.! Looks like fun though.
Take Care.
Snow in October! That is crazy! We live about 2 hours from snow. That is close enough for me. We usually take the kids up to sled and tube once a winter. They love it! But I hate the cold!
