Last week was a crazy one. One where we woke up in the morning and ran all day until we fell into bed. On Saturday, October 11th, Kaymin was baptized. It was even more special since it was Blake's birthday. Kaymin's soccer game was cancelled so we made a mad dash to the Olive Garden for lunch to celebrate the day. After our stomachs were going to explode we rushed off to the church. Kaymin picked out her program. We opened up with Called to Serve and I gave the opening prayer. Grandma Westbroek gave the talk on baptism and Grandpa Mecham gave the talk on the Holy Ghost. Blake baptized her while her two uncles, Billy and Brody, were the witnesses. She looked so beautiful in the white baptismal dress. She looked just like an angel. She was so nervous, but once she was baptized she glowed. You couldn't wipe the smile off her face. While she got dressed we played a video of her life. I spent several weeks making this video of her life. It contained 357 pictures, half of which had to be scanned in, cropped, colored, adjusted, and played with. It took me forever. Thank heavens we now have digital cameras. Of course, we didn't finish it, because it was quite lengthy, but I am so glad that she has it. I have promised her for years that I would make her a video of her pictures for her baptism. I'm just so glad that I made good on that promise. You know sometimes as a mom, you just don't. After her dad confirmed her with all of the male family members. We sang "When Jesus Christ Was Baptized" and Uncle Justin gave the closing prayer. Afterwards we came back to our house and had lemonade ice cream pie, which Kaymin picked out and I had made an apple pie for Blake that wasn't to be shared. The kids then did a pinata, that Kaymin had made. All in all it was a very great day.

Congratulations Kaymin! That is so awesome! Daxton will be getting baptized the 1st week of December. You two are so close in age. He has talked about her as well several different times!
